Cardwell & Wansley is now CWJ Strategies
Dr. Laura Jackson has joined Cardwell & Wansley Consulting as a partner. Jackson brings an abundance of experience to Cardwell & Wansley and will be an incredible asset to the firm. She will provide high-level strategic insight and problem-solving capabilities to Cardwell & Wansley’s clients.
“I am excited to join Cardwell & Wansley. The work I will get to do here will combine my education and hands-on experience to help our clients exceed their goals and gain the ability to do more of what they do best.” said Dr. Jackson.
Dr. Jackson comes to Cardwell & Wansley from The University of Texas at Tyler, where she served as Assistant Vice President for Government and Community Affairs. Prior to that, she was a political consultant in Austin, Texas. Some of her previous clients include State Senator Robert Nichols and former State Representatives Mark Shelton and Mike O’Day. She also worked in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel for President George W. Bush and in the Texas Legislature for then-State Senator Todd Staples.
“Laura and I have served together through various non-profit boards and special projects over the past ten years, so I was well-acquainted with what she would bring to the table,” said founding partner Leah Wansley, “We are truly excited to add Laura’s wealth of experience and talents to Cardwell & Wansley. She is a natural complement to the team, which will translate into greater success for our clients.”
Dr. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, a Master of Public Service and Administration from the George Bush School of Government and Public Service, and a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Dallas. She is a graduate of Leadership Texas and Leadership Tyler.
